Andrew L. Schwartz, DMD, DABO

Dr. Schwartz is originally from Livingston, New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Emory University. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania's School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctoral of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree with multiple honors and publications. He then chose to remain in Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania after graduation and completed this two-year specialty residency program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial orthopedics. This program accepts only six residents per year.

Dr. Schwartz is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. An accomplishment approximately only twenty-five percent of orthodontists ever achieve. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, DC Dental Society, Maimonides Dental Society, Southern Maryland Dental Society, and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity of which he is a board member.

In October 2006, Dr. Schwartz was voted a Top Orthodontist by Washingtonian Magazine. The magazine polled 3000 Washington, Maryland, and Virginia dentists asking who they would have treat their family members if they needed orthodontics. Dr. Schwartz was one of only two orthodontists selected in the downtown area and was the only orthodontist selected in Rockville, MD.

Dr. Schwartz has been nationally recognized for his Invisalign® treatment of adults. In May 2004 he was honored in Orlando, Florida at the American Association of Orthodontists convention for being one of the top Invisalign® providers internationally. In May 2005, he was named on Invisalign® Premier Provider, a distinction given to the top 5% of Invisalign® certified doctors. In 2006, 2007, and 2008 Dr. Schwartz was named an Invisalign® Elite Premier Provider ranking him in the top 1% internationally with regards to Invisalign® experience.

Dr. Schwartz resides in Bethesda, Maryland with his one year old son Justin and their Wheaten Terrier named Emory. He enjoys many activities such as golf, biking, skiing and basketball.
